musings of a restless spirit

Sisters, sisters, there were never such devoted sisters...

Last weekend, my sisters and I planned a weekend together in Kansas City. KC is about halfway between Natalie and I, and since Nancy was on spring break from ISU, she had some time to make the trip down as well, so it made for the perfect meeting place.

We came in Friday night and had dinner at this place called Houston's (upon my friend Marjorie's recommendation). It was fabulous!

On Saturday, we mainly did some shopping on the Plaza (in the rain!), and ate some more good food, and really just enjoyed being together. This was the first time that the three of us had been together without our parents or husbands in a very long time, and it was just great to reconnect and explore KC together!

On Sunday, we went to Union Station and decided to check out Science City. It turned out to be a little bit more exclusively geared to kids than we thought, BUT we still had fun because we're all three young at heart. We enjoyed a lot of the exhibits and it was just fun to be silly together.

It was sad to all have to drive off in different directions, but hopefully we can do something like this again soon.

Beautiful Natalie and Nancy.

My breakfast on Saturday was called Dutch Babies. It was really tasty! And I enjoyed the double meaning of the phrase, "I think I'm going to have Dutch babies.".... someday!

At Science City.

Whoa. What happened to my legs?

Hanging out with Al.

Saying goodbye...
